Hemlington was built during the 1960s and lies in-between the Middlesbrough suburb of Coulby Newham and the village of Stainton. Ashwood Park is part of a development of new homes on the site of the old Hemlington Hospital. Built in 1895, its purpose was to treat soldiers wounded on the front line in France during World War 1.   • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Stainton Way
