The nearby town of Boston is home to further secondary schools including Boston High School and Boston Grammar School as well as a range of sixth form and further education opportunities.

The historic town of Boston has a good selection of major shops and supermarkets and all the facilities expected of a large town. It was from here that the Pilgrim Fathers set sail in the Mayflower to discover the New World in 1620, naming Boston in the US after their hometown in Lincolnshire.
