Freelance photographer Carl Tschudin sets up his own private studio in his modern Camberwell townhouse...

Carl Tschudin, a freelance photographer based in London has created the ideal live/work situation envied by many. Last year, Carl bought a three-bedroom townhouse at Notting Hill Sales’ Camberwell development, Camberwell Fields.

With his flexible work schedule, it was important to Carl to buy a property that maximised space allowing him to set up his own studio from home and invite guests to stay.

Camberwell Fields’ light and airy townhouses have created the perfect backdrop for Carl’s new workplace. He has transformed his third bedroom into a picture perfect studio allowing him the flexibility and convenience of working from home.

Carl comments: “I was looking to move from Kent into London as I was finding the regular commute increasingly difficult and wanted to be readily available for a job at a moments notice. I already knew about Camberwell Fields and when I saw the townhouses available, I immediately knew I wanted to buy there. I am really looking forward to exploring the area and finding those unique places Camberwell is famous for.”

Camberwell Fields sits alongside recently regenerated Burgess Park and is within walking distance of eclectic eateries, theatres, galleries and entertainment hotspots. The development’s affordable and high quality sustainable homes have successfully revitalised the local landscape and reconnected communal pedestrian pathways.

Carl bought his freehold townhouse at Camberwell Fields through private sale. He adds: “It’s reassuring to have a 10 year guarantee and know I can expect fewer problems than an older property may encounter. I really liked the idea of being somewhere no one else had lived in before. My experience with Notting Hill Sales has been excellent. They were quick to answer any question I had and always responded swiftly and efficiently.”

Notting Hill Sales also offers buyers Help to Buy with a 40% equity loan and recently gave free stamp duty on its remaining properties. Prices at Camberwell Fields start at £415,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
