Help to Buy and traditional charm make winning factors at Adderbury Fields

Choosing to buy a brand new home was an unlikely route for Jason Morris, as he had always opted for older property in the past...

But after discovering the exclusive David Wilson Homes development, at Adderbury Fields, on the edge of the Cotswolds, Jason took a complete U-turn.

Jason says: “I had previously bought properties that needed upgrading or developing and had never really contemplated a new house, but seeing the beautifully designed homes at Adderbury Fields made me think again.”

Jason is now the proud owner of an ‘Adwell’, four-bedroom family house on this attractive development of impressive, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, in the charming village of Adderbury, three miles from the market town of Banbury.

Prime location, close to his work as a finance director, was a top priority for Jason. The individuality of homes on the development, traditionally styled and constructed in stone and brick, tipped the balance in his decision to buy. Low maintenance and a home already fitted with carpets and curtains were also a main draw, allowing Jason a smooth move with his two young children.

Surrounded by open countryside, yet only 40 minutes from the dreaming spires of Oxford, and an hour from London by train, Adderbury Fields is a sought-after community in a tranquil setting, coupled with the convenience of excellent commuter links and a busy town with every amenity nearby.

David Wilson Homes Mercia has recently been awarded the maximum five-star official rating for build quality from the Home Builders’ Federation (HBF) for the sixth year running, a factor that also impressed Jason.

Jason continues: “The house is really well built and has a lovely stone frontage, plus a south-facing garden and unlike many new homes it has lots of useable space inside. There are green recreation areas on the development, as well as open countryside views – all major benefits for family living."

Jason made use of Help to Buy, the interest-free Government mortgage scheme, further assisting his move, with expert advice from the David Wilson Homes sales team at Adderbury Fields.

Steve Barton, senior sales manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia comments: “This is a great development for individuality and style. Adderbury Fields is a lovely location, with a tranquil rural feel, but with easy commuting to major centres of employment – just perfect for modern family living.”

House prices at Adderbury Fields range from £380,000 to £875,000.
