#WhatHouseWed: Property of the Week – The Residence Lakeside from Muse Developments
On our inaugural WhatHouse? Wednesday (#WhatHouseWed) it was pretty tough to choose our first Property of the Week but we eventually agreed that the title would go a stylish development on the outskirts of Doncaster, South Yorkshire – The Residence Lakeside, a scheme of 51 homes from Muse Developments.
The setting is some 50 acres of landscaped greenery surrounding a lake, a former airfield that is being transformed with new homes and a wide range of amenities.
This scheme comprises a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes in a thoroughly contemporary style. These new homes have been designed to appeal to a wide range of house-hunters, from first-time buyers to families and downsizers.
There’s a choice of designs and layouts, from traditional two-storey homes with contemporary, open-plan living spaces to townhouses set out over three floors. Set around a cul de sac, a number of properties are set at the water’s edge, with superb views across the lake.
Inside, the specification includes fitted Symphony kitchens, Zanussi appliances, Kohler sanitaryware in bathrooms and en suites, Mira showers, Porcelanosa tiles and Virgin multimedia points.
Prices start at £147,500.
Moving in at The Residence Lakeside brings a number of amenities close at hand, including Pizza Express, Nando’s, a Vue cinema, three superstores, Doncaster Dome Leisure Centre, the Lakeside Village retail outlet and a number of schools. The Aeroventure aviation museum, Keepmoat Stadium and Doncaster Racecourse are all nearby too.
This development is situated just two miles southeast of Doncaster town centre, a short cycle ride and under 30 minutes on foot. There is easy access by car into town, where Doncaster station is located, and it’s around 25 minutes to Robin Hood Airport. The A1(M) and M18 are also just a few minutes’ drive away.
