Top of the Props: Our pick of the best new homes for sale in West Yorkshire

Posted 15 April 2015 by Keith Osborne

Leeds, the heart of the West Yorkshire Urban Area, is the UK’s third-largest city and third-largest manufacturing economy. Served by three universities, it also boasts the UK’s fourth-largest student population and a number of substantial student accommodation projects, such as Opal 3 and The Plaza, have drawn investment into the city.

Substantial commercial and retail investment has also taken place over the last decade, for example in creating the digital hub of Holbeck Urban Village, and current and pipeline projects total £5.8billion.

Leeds City Council is tackling regeneration on a number of fronts. Leeds South Bank will host the city’s proposed HS2/HS3 railway station, and has a handful of residential, commercial and leisure projects already given the green light, such as the second phase of the Tower Works mixed-use scheme and up to four acres of new homes and redevelopment in Bath Road. Together with the city’s Enterprise Zone and the City Centre North redevelopment, the council hopes this next tranche of regeneration will create some 35,000 new jobs.

In mid-February 2015, Leeds City Council approved a public consultation to review plans to build 66,000 new homes in the city by 2028 in over 750 sites.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our upcoming development, which will feature a range of stunning three- and four-bedroom houses perfect for first-time buyers and upsizers.”

Located opposite St Aiden’s Country Park, Kensington Park is centrally situated in Great Preston near Leeds city centre, and offers excellent access to the M1, M62 and A1(M).
