The latest range of new homes for sale in South Lanarkshire

Bordering Glasgow, South Lanarkshire is popular with commuters and families looking to get more for their money than they would in the city. With this in mind, housebuilders have plenty of options available to house hunters in the area.

The final phase of Bellway Homes' Orwell Court development in East Kilbride has been released with currently available properties including three-bedroom semi-detached homes as well as four- and five-bedroom detached family villas. Priced from £319,995 the ‘Sunningdale' house type features a formal lounge and an open-plan breakfasting kitchen and dining area with doors leading to the rear garden. Upstairs, two of the five bedrooms come with en suite facilities and there is also a family bathroom. The home also includes a utility room, downstairs WC and a double integral garage.

Families looking for a new home in East Kilbride may also want to check out The Laurels, a Taylor Wimpey development of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties just eight miles from Glasgow. For example, the ‘Fairbairn' will set you back £212,000 and comes with a formal lounge, dining room, breakfasting kitchen, cloakroom, master bedroom with en suite and built-in wardrobes, three further bedrooms, a family bathroom and an integral garage.

Sunnymead is a Stewart Milne Homes development with a choice of two- or five-bedroom properties still available. Prices at the Uddingston site range from £119,950 for an apartment comprising a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and ample storage space to £390,000 for the five-bedroom detached ‘Melton' house type, which features a lounge, dining room, breakfasting kitchen with family area, en suites to two of the bedrooms, a family bathroom, IT area and a double garage.

Persimmon Homes has a collection of two- and three-bedroom properties available at its Newton Farm development in Cambuslang. Situated to the south east of Glasgow, the scheme enjoys a semi-rural location yet is within easy reach of a host of amenities. The semi-detached ‘Ashkirk' house type costs £150,995 and boasts a living room, kitchen, cloakroom, master bedroom with en-suite, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Just two new homes remain on the market at Earnock Glen, a Barratt Homes development located in Hamilton. Both are of the ‘Woodcote' house type and are priced from £166,995. On entering the mid-terrace properties, the hallway leads to a dining kitchen on the left before reaching a spacious lounge with dining area. There is also a downstairs WC. Heading upstairs, the first floor contains two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a family bathroom. The master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite shower room makes up the top floor of this three-storey family home.
