Plans approved for 105 new homes in Birmingham

Posted 25 June 2013

Housebuilder Morris Homes has been granted planning consent to develop 105 new apartments at The Quarter, its £24.3m development in the heart of Birmingham city centre. The new homes in this next phase of the scheme, which are sure to appeal to a wide range of homebuyers, will be available to purchase in autumn 2013.

Once on sale the apartments at the site will be available with the government's Help to Buy scheme, which means buyers can get on to or move up the property ladder using just a 5% deposit.

The housebuilder launched the site in 2011 and the project has seen the firm invest heavily in the local community, with facilities including a multi-purpose health centre with GP consulting rooms and a minor surgery facility, a pharmacy and secure underground parking.

Cindy Cade, regional sales director at Morris, says: "The apartments at The Quarter have proven a popular choice with young professionals and investors looking for a contemporary property in a key location in the heart of Birmingham, and this announcement means we can get moving on the next phase of the build.

"The Quarter not only offers high-quality properties, but also plays an important role in the development of the area, having brought much needed healthcare facilities to the local community. We'd urge buyers interested in the coveted apartments to get in touch with the team now to secure their new home."
