New residential scheme in Stirling launches today

Following the success of its Stirling Bridge development, Cruden Homes is returning to the city of Stirling with Royal Park View, a new development of 50 properties for sale which it is launching today (17 August 2017).

Located in the Glendevon Drive/Huntly Crescent area, close to Stirling Castle, the development will mix two-bedroom apartments with two- and three-bedroom detached and semi-detached villas. Prices for these properties will be announced at the launch.

Hazel Davies, sales and marketing director at Cruden Homes (East), says: “There’s an ongoing demand for reasonably priced quality property in Stirling from first-time buyers and young families alike, as ably demonstrated by our previous sell-out Stirling Bridge development. We hope to continue to satisfy some of this demand at Royal Park View which will offer potential buyers a range of affordable family homes in an excellent location only minutes from Stirling's bustling town centre and the M9.”

It’s expected the government-backed Help to Buy Scotland scheme will also be available on properties at Royal Park View, open to purchasers with a 5% deposit and providing a 15% equity loan to them, interest-free for five years, so the buyer only needs a 80% mortgage for the home.

Open House event in Bedfordshire this weekend

Caddington WoodsRedrow Homes is inviting house-hunters to an Open House event at its Caddington Woods development between Luton and Dunstable this weekend, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August, a chance to view three show homes and other completed properties.

The housebuilder’s sales team will be on site to explain to homebuyers how schemes such as Help to Buy or Redrow’s own Mastermove could help them move into a home with a smaller deposit, fewer expenses or with the security of no property chain. Buyers can potentially use both schemes together at this development.

Helen McGill, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Location is a major draw for those who’ve chosen to call Caddington Woods ‘home’. While people long to live here, those buying some of our larger properties understandably want to be able to view before committing to purchase and have been travelling to other areas where we have show homes in those styles. Now that building work has progressed we have examples of the ‘Highgate’ and ‘Marlborough’ available to view here at Caddington Woods so that potential purchasers can appreciate the layout and the location at the same time.”

The choice of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes at the development start at £374,950, with Help to Buy available on all under £600,000.

Launch of new phase at Barkingside development

SiteSales Property Group has launched the fifth phase of the Barnardo’s Garden Village development in Barkingside, east London, as part of a continuing relationship with the children’s charity Barnardo’s, which has successfully raised over £56m in sales from 176 properties on previous phases since 2014.

This final phase sees 34 units onto the market, including 26 apartments converted from period cottages built in 1875 together wide eight new build one- and two bedroom apartments. Prices of these homes range from £280,000 to £475,000.

Murray Smith, managing director of SiteSales, says: “Barnardo’s Garden Village in Barkingside has been one of the most satisfying projects that we have ever been involved with. Not only is the development a financial success for the charity that helped fund the construction of a new head office for the charity, but it has also had a positive effect on the local community with the majority of the homes being sold to people from the surrounding areas. Since the start of the development, we have also become a corporate partner of Barnardo’s, helping organise events and raise money for its worthy cause. We look forward to continuing working with Barnardo’s and we are confident that the final phase of the development will be another resounding success.”
