Open house event in Garstang this weekend

With only a few properties left to sell on the popular Canal View development in Garstang, Lancashire, housebuilder Redrow is hosting an open house event on Saturday 1 July there, between 10am and 5.30pm,  to show buyers in the area what options are still available. Only five homes, all from the acclaimed Heritage Collection of Arts & Crafts-inspired designs, remain for sale, including two that can be bought at 80% of market value.

“This development has it all,” says Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire). “The beautiful location in one of Lancashire’s loveliest market towns; close to the most welcoming countryside; and, of course, our marvellous homes. We always knew that Canal View would be popular and, while we are confident that the final homes will be snapped up soon, we thought it would be a nice idea to encourage those who may be interested to take another look around.”

There are a pair of two-bedroom ‘Tavy’ properties remaining for sale under Redrow’s ‘Advantage’ scheme, on sale at just 80% of the market value, at £143,995. The scheme is aimed to assist first-time buyers on a modest budget move out of their parents’ homes or rented accommodation, but stay in the area, with certain criteria to fulfill, for example, they may be starting a family or taking a job in the local area.

“They are ideal for young people, key workers and those on more modest incomes who may not normally be able to afford to buy,” says Jarvis.
