New homes round up - the best new developments in and around Leeds
With Leeds offering its residents an enviable work-life balance, the city has a huge amount of appeal for many young professionals and families.
It is located right at the heart of the country, for starters, with great transport links by road and rail. It is also West Yorkshire's commercial, cultural and retail hub, with plenty of business opportunities and things to see and do. Then there are the spectacular Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks close at hand. The location offers easy access to the city's ring road for commuters, and there are good schools within a mile of the development.
There are a couple of new developments in the lovely market town of Morley, about five miles from Leeds, offering a safe, family-friendly commuter base with good schools. The town offers easy access to the M62 and M621, so is perfect for commuters – placing the whole of Yorkshire and the North West within easy reach. Daisy Hill is an exclusive development of two- to four-bedroom properties from Persimmon Homes, priced from £207,950, and situated close to excellent local schools, a good range of amenities, and a regular bus service. Barratt Homes also offers a collection of three- and four-bedroom properties at St Andrews View priced from £246,995 to £274,995, offering pleasant, green views over open fields and woodlands.
Offering a quiet spot within easy commuting distance of Leeds (seven miles) and Bradford (six miles), Redrow's The Limes at Horsforth Vale is ideal for both professionals and families. There is a big local park nearby, plenty of local sporting clubs and activities, and great transport links – with quick access to the M1 and the M62.
