New homes launch sees Alice in Wonderland come to Wandsworth
Inspired by a Alice in Wonderland show home, students from Fircroft primary school in Wandsworth submitted more than 60 paintings, drawings and collages, as part of a Bellway Homes' competition.
The winners of the competition won art kits, Alice in Wonderland goodie bags and framed copies of their pictures and were treated to a VIP tour of the Alice show home at Langroyd Mews.
The youngsters were celebrating after the housebuilder challenged them to create original works of art inspired by the adventures of Alice in Wonderland, as part of the Alice in Wonderland inspired launch of new family homes at Langroyd Mews.
The development features a collection of just 13 classic, four-bedroom homes on Langroyd Road, Tooting Bec. Prices start from £849,995.
Bellway Homes has announced the winning artists and runners-up: Dulcie (winner), Asmaa (runner-up) and Nimrah (highly commended) from the 4 - 7 year old category; Joely (winner), Asha (runner-up) and Cree (highly commended) from the 8 - 11 year old category. Fircroft School was presented with book vouchers.
Bellway Homes' Managing Director Steve Jones told the youngsters and their teachers: "We really enjoy building homes and part of the fun is designing the show home. Our Alice in Wonderland theme at Langroyd Mews is very exciting."
"We were thrilled with the children's lovely works of art. Our Alice in Wonderland competition has been a great way to be involved with the local community and get to know our local schools. The traditional, timeless family story of Alice fits perfectly with the spirit of our new family homes at Langroyd Mews."
