Impressive choice of new homes available within 10 miles of Lincoln
The attractive city of Lincoln has a great deal to offer house buyers in the East Midlands – including a splendid cathedral, a charming shopping centre, some superb restaurants and numerous other central attractions such as Brayford Pool lake.
There are several new housing developments springing up in and around the city. About five miles south west of Lincoln in the town of North Hykeham, a collection of luxury four- and five-bedroom properties are available from David Wilson Homes at Kings Court. In an ideal commuter location, just a short distance from the newly-improved A46, the small town has a thriving community and a superb calibre of schools, making it the perfect spot for families with children. With beautiful countryside right on its doorstep, including numerous beauty spots, the location also has all of Lincoln's shops and entertainment just down the road. Prices at Kings Court are available on application but, as an example, a five-bedroom detached home is available there priced from £329,995, including a double garage, a south-facing garden, two en suites, a kitchen / family breakfast room, and a dining room.
Just half a mile down the road from Kings Court, also in North Hykeham, Barratt Homes has created Manor Farm (pictured), offering a range of three- and four-bedroom homes priced from £123,500 to £257,995. Again this is a great choice for families, with a primary school due to open on site in September 2015. For commuters, Hykeham train station (on the Nottingham to Lincoln line) is less than a mile from Manor Farm, and it is easy to access Newark and the A1 from the development.
About ten miles from the centre of Lincoln in the village of Bassingham, Waterloo Homes has a collection of just four three-bedroom homes for sale by shared ownership / part-buy part-rent at Torgate Lane, on a new village development by Lindums. This development comes under North Kesteven District Council, and a local connection is required to be eligible to buy there. A share in a two-bedroom property there can be bought from as little as £31,250, with a monthly rent and service charge payable.
