Hopkins Homes submit plans for 100 new homes in Wroxham

Posted 31 July 2013 by Keith Osborne

Plans for 100 new homes in Wroxham have been submitted to Broadland District Council by Hopkins Homes following a lengthy public consultation period.

A public exhibition held by the housebuilder earlier this year gave members of the public an opportunity to view and comment on plans to develop the new homes, including 33 affordable homes, on a site off Salhouse Road, alongside the main Norwich Road in the southern part of the village. But those that missed the plans, but would like to see the, can do so by visiting the council's Thorpe Lodge headquarters or by logging on at www.broadland.gov.uk/plans, using the reference number 20130965.

Access to the site would be via a new junction built in Salhouse Road, south of The Avenue, and the current public footpath through the site will be maintained, linking with open space through to Salhouse Road.

Hopkins Homes has intended to submit its final plans for the new homes scheme in March, with a view to securing planning consent later this year. However, there was a delay in getting the application together.

All being well, the developer, subject to the necessary planning consent, hopes to build and complete the new residential scheme in mid-2015.
