Woodilee Village, a new community for homebuyers in Glasgow

Families looking to find a new home in the Glasgow area should definitely check out Woodilee Village, a community of 900 new-build properties from four of Scotland's leading developers. Situated between Lenzie and Kirkintilloch around six miles north of Glasgow city centre, the development is set in the grounds of the former Woodilee Hospital and features a range of home styles as well as children's play parks, a sports arena, crèche, business park and local shop. Other local amenities include excellent schools, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a bowling alley, leisure centre, and golf club while commuters are well placed with Glasgow only 15 minutes away by train.

Charles Church has a collection of four- and five-bedroom homes on the market at the development with prices ranging from £304,995 to £499,995. At the opposite end of the scale, the ‘Callander' will set you back £320,000 with benefits including a master bedroom with en suite, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom. A formal lounge, semi open-plan kitchen and dining room, utility room, downstairs WC, study and integral double garage make up the ground floor.

A varied choice of four- and five-bedroom house layouts is offered in the Miller Homes section of the village, which is surrounded in mature woodland, creating a semi-rural environment. Prices start from £299,995 for the ‘Glenmuir', which boasts a roomy lounge leading to the formal dining room where patio doors give access to the rear garden. A kitchen, utility room, downstairs WC and integral garage complete the ground floor. Upstairs the landing leads to the master bedroom with en suite, three further bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Just one property by CALA Homes currently remains available at Woodilee Village. With five bedrooms and a family-orientated layout, the detached ‘Ramsay' villa includes a formal lounge, dining room, open-plan kitchen/breakfasting/family room, study, cloakroom, en suites to three of the bedrooms, family bathroom and a garage. The ‘Ramsay' costs £510,000 and at the moment includes stamp duty paid, flooring, blinds, turf to the front and rear gardens and a £5,000 bonus.
