Taylor Wimpey opens new show homes at West Yorkshire development this weekend

Posted 22 January 2016 by Keith Osborne

Homebuyers in West Yorkshire have been waiting for show homes at Kensington Park since October and this weekend Taylor Wimpey will open two of them...

This weekend sees the opening of some brand new show homes at Kensington Park, a development of 76 new homes under way at Queen Street, Great Preston, in West Yorkshire.

The scheme of three- and four-bedroom homes was launched in October 2015 but Saturday 23 January will be the first opportunity for house-hunters in the area to visit the site and take a look around the professionally designed and decorated show houses. It’s a chance not only to see the layout and build quality first-hand, but also for a little inspiration into the latest design trends for when they move in.

Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, says: “Kensington Park is a fantastic development offering homes to suit prospective buyers at every stage of the property ladder. We have had a fantastic response from local house-hunters since the launch in October, and we’re extremely excited to reveal the new show homes and give people a taste of what life at our exclusive development is like.

“The stunning ‘Shelford’ and ‘Gosford’ are two of our most popular designs, so we expect interest to rapidly increase once they open.”

The ‘Shelford’ home is a four-bedroom detached house which could be ideal for families looking for a little extra room, with four double bedrooms and a private garden to the rear. The three-bedroom semi-detached ‘Gosford’ has appeal for both first-time buyers and for growing families, with a large kitchen/dining room for entertaining and social eating, and a spacious lounge.

The development is located between Great Preston and Allerton Bywater, bringing everyday amenities within easy reach. There are also excellent transport links nearby, with easy access to the A1, M1 and M62 and railway stations within a few minutes’ drive at Woodlesford and East Garforth.

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available to assist homebuyers with only a small deposit, available on all homes priced up to £600,000.

Bagshaw adds: “I strongly encourage anyone interested in a new home in the area to come along to the show home launch, and chat through their options with our friendly sales team to find out more about the development and financial incentives. With just 76 homes on the development, we are sure they will be snapped up in no time!”
