Show home room by room - The Cambridge, Bisley

Posted 15 February 2017 by Ben Salisbury

The Cambridge in Bisley, Surrey, is a superb exampe of a detached four-bedroom family home from Redrow's Heritage collection

A new show home has been unveiled by Redrow at its Kings Hundred development in Bisley, Surrey to further support the strong demand seen when the two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes were recently launched off-plan.

The new show home is of the four-bedroom Cambridge design, beautifully finished, it has 1382 sq ft of space and portrays Redrow’s vision for Kings Hundred, of its Heritage Collection designs set in the middle of an idyllic village, yet with access to London just 30 minutes away.

The classic style of the ‘Heritage Collection,’ is present through a country inspired Moores kitchen, coupled with a contemporary polished tile floor. The design of the show home is kept simple on purpose but neutral tones are combined with rich feature walls, like the deep indigo of the family room.

Prices start from £599,950 for a 3 bedroom detached property in this popular location, just 35 minutes from central London.

Emma Brindley, Redrow’s interior design manager explains: “This show home has been designed with a family in mind. New research into customer’s personalities has allowed us to visualise the kind of people who would live in this house type.

“The smallest of characteristics in every family member has been considered so that our designs make a real impact and resonate with our visitors to Kings Hundred.”

The Cambridge show home has been lovingly designed with family at the heart. The four bedroom home, inspired by the late 19th-century ‘Arts and Crafts’ movement, boasts character inside and out.

The heritage colour palette by Dulux consists of warm neutrals combined with rich feature colours for statement walls.

The soft carpet from Sensation in ‘Light Taupe’ instantly exudes comfort, as it flows from the hallway through to the living room, and then all the way upstairs.

The polished floor to the kitchen and downstairs bathroom is by Johnsons Tiles, in modern oyster, complementing the classic ivory shaker kitchen and luxurious granite work tops in ‘Kashmir Cream.’

Traditional oak and painted ivory furniture adds a country kitchen look and feel, and is a design that will never date. The look is pulled together through well carefully considered accessories, including the chosen fabrics in deep indigo tones and striped patterns.

Master Bedroom: “The master bedroom upstairs radiates calm and tranquillity, a perfect space for you to retreat after a busy day.  Dark stone sits upon the feature wall, creating a rich neutral with depth and character, with large glass lamps adorning the side tables. A luxurious deep buttoned feature headboard creates the ultimate boutique hotel feel, which is completed with good quality linen inspired by The White Company and subtle cushions for texture. These carefully considered and specifically chosen features make this master bedroom the perfect space to relax in.”

Living room: “In the living room, the ‘Pale Walnut’ on all four walls creates the perfect back drop to the statement fabrics. An upholstered foot stool in blue and white contemporary stripe is well contrasted against the herringbone/floral cushion fabrics, thus proving that mixing up patterns and materials adds depth to any design. The furniture remains classic, with painted oak in a soft taupe.”

Other bedrooms: “The welcoming guest room is a cosy addition to the home; as in the living room, the popular shade ‘Pale Walnut’ has been applied to all walls and complements the attention that has been given to the well selected fabrics. It’s the perfect space for guests to enjoy. Two further bedrooms have been designed with the children of the household in mind. The boy’s room beams with personality; the styling based around his hobbies and interests. The same attention to detail has been given in the young girl’s room, with a mix of patterned fabrics and charming styling allowing her personality to shine through.

Bathrooms: “The main bathroom and en-suite showcase the use of the textured Ashlar tile in ‘Weather White’ from Johnson Tiles, with the addition of a vanity unit in an alpine elm finish to the main bathroom.”
