Open Day for new retirement properties in Haywards Heath this Saturday

Posted 25 October 2016 by Keith Osborne

An event is taking place this weekend allowing homebuyers to take a first-hand look at new age-exclusive homes in West Sussex...

Specialist developer Anchor Trust is providing an Open Day this weekend (Saturday 29 October) at its Hurst Place scheme in Haywards Heath aimed at retirement-age homebuyers looking for a new build property in West Sussex to move into in 2017.

The event marks the launch of a collection of just 10 courtyard homes at the Hurst Place development, with a starting price of £455,000 for one of two different house styles, both with a generous two-bedroom layout. With 60% of the courtyard houses already reserved, opportunities are getting more restricted for people looking for all the benefits of a new build retirement property in a location as pleasant and convenient as Haywards Heath.

Next year sees the opening of many of the development’s special facilities for residents, including a café, an assisted spa, and a hair and beauty salon. There are also a number of communal areas for neighbours to meet and socialise, and a landscaped garden with mature trees in which to enjoy the seasons. Each property, too, is subject to a carefully considered specification for the needs of older residents, with lower-level worktops and appliances and well-located power points to make chores that much easier.

In addition, property owners at Hurst Place are covered by a 24-hour call system, in case of emergencies, and have a range of care and support packages available to assist them with any medical or domestic needs.

In addition to the courtyard houses, Hurst Place will have 58 apartments, creating a community of like-minded neighbours and the opportunity to mix the privacy of owning your own home with the possibility of a varied and active social life, sharing common interests from sport and games to travel and culture.

Haywards Heath is directly south of London and 14 miles north of Brighton, in Sussex countryside between the High Weald and South Downs. The convenience of coast and countryside is perfect for lovers of the outdoors, while a direct train route to Brighton and the capital means easy links to two cosmopolitan cities. Local roads also bring a host of towns and villages within easy reach, as well as Gatwick Airport, just 13 miles away. A parking space at Hurst Place can be licenced for £500 per year.

The Open Day event, running from 10.00am to 5.00pm on Saturday 29 October, is a chance to speak face-to-face with the Anchor team and take a tour of the homes available. Refreshments will be served all day.
