It’s another week of launches and other events from the UK’s new homes market. Here are a few of the latest stories of interest to buyers of new build properties across the country...

Just a dozen homes left at Barratt site in Cannock

Time is running out to buy a brand new home at Bilberry Chase, the Barratt Homes development in Cannock, Staffordshire, with barely a dozen homes left to choose from at the site.

Purchasers now have a limited choice of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties to choose from at the scheme, set in Hednesford, on the edge of the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors to the site will still find two show homes to demonstrate the build quality they can expect and inspire their own decoration and interior design. Help to Buy and Movermaker initiatives are both available.

Graydon Worthing, sales director for Barratt Homes West Midlands, says: “Bilberry Chase has been a very popular site, and we’ve sold around 100 homes here since it opened at the end of 2015. The final few remaining properties offer all types of buyers, from first timers to growing families, a chance to own a quality new home, so to avoid disappointment we would urge anyone looking to buy a new home to visit our sales centre soon.”

Redrow prepares for a March launch for Greater Manchester scheme

Bridgewater ViewRedrow has already begun seeking interest from homebuyers considering for a new home at Bridgewater View, in Greater Manchester, despite the official launch being a few weeks away.

The WhatHouse? Award-winning housebuilder is launching the development near Mosley Common and the end of March, when buyers will see the full range of three- and four-bedroom Heritage Collection homes and their prices for the first time. The development as a whole will have 244 homes and is located just nine miles from the heart of Manchester city centre.

Claire Jarvis, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “It’s looking extremely good for Bridgewater View with lots of interest in the development already - with a little under two months to go before our first homes go on sale. Those on the database will be kept updated of our launch plans and opportunities to make ‘early bird’ reservations. And they can be assured of Redrow’s renowned quality and a range of beautifully designed homes equipped for today’s lifestyles.”

Part Exchange event at Abingdon development this weekend

The Taylor Wimpey team is hosting a Part Exchange event for house-hunters at its Morland Gardens development in Abingdon, Oxfordshire this weekend, giving visitors with a house to sell the chance to find out how they might trade it in for a brand new one at the development.

The Part Exchange Weekend takes place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February, from 10.00am to 5.00pm both days. Morland Gardens offers a range of three- to five-bedroom homes that would make the perfect upgrade for a growing family or anyone needing a more spacious and flexible home. Prices here range from £355,000 to over £475,000.

Nikki Gibson, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, says: “The process of selling, buying and moving to a new home can be a frustrating and time-consuming experience, but our Part Exchange initiative takes away the stress of finding a buyer by eliminating the property chain altogether. We’ll value the customer’s old home and they can then sit back, relax and look forward to moving into a brand new maintenance-free house at Morland Gardens. I’d advise home-hunters to visit us during Part Exchange Weekend and choose their favourite plot while they still can.”
