Developer offers to pay stamp duty on its new homes in Kensal Rise
Homebuyers in north-west London are invited to a special event at Prime Place Kensal Rise this Saturday 11 March, where they can find out more about the new homes available there and take advantage of a special offer from the housebuilder to pay their stamp duty.
Taking place by invitation only at the offices of selling agent Greene & Co from 10.00am to 4.00pm, the event is the perfect opportunity to find out full details of the one- and two-bedroom apartments for sale on Chamberlayne Road, and sign up to an offer that could save up to £30,000.
Sue Gresswell, sales and marketing director at Prime Place, says: “Starting from £689,995 for a two-bedroom apartment, our homes are already very competitively priced for this aspirational area, but we appreciate that stamp duty is a significant amount. By helping with this cost, we are taking away another barrier to homeownership.”
The new homes are set around a new, state-of-the-art sports centre (due to open next year) and within easy reach of a plethora of shops and cafés. Many have their own private balcony or terrace, and all residents share a landscaped communal roof garden.

Just two homes left for sale at development in Bruton, Somerset
Elan Homes has nearly completed sales at its Steinbeck Walk development in Bruton, with just two properties now available to buyers.
The only homes left for sale at the development – named after author John Steinbeck, who spent six months of his life in the town – are two four-bedroom houses. The ‘Mylen’ is a detached property priced at £305,000, while the ‘Brandon’ has a price tag of £340,000.
Andrea Nippe, sales director for Elan in the South, says: “That this development has been so popular has come as no surprise to us. It may be one of the smallest towns in England, but Bruton has everything to offer whether the priority is education, for those families seeking top class schools (of which it has excellent state and independent facilities); superb transport links with trains going to London Paddington in less than two hours or a wealth of outstanding leisure opportunities from art galleries to the very best restaurants and delightful tearooms.”

Shared Ownership homes now available at east London development
Affordable homes specialist Latimer has launched a collection of apartments in Canning Town that are available under the government-backed Shared Ownership scheme. There are 40 properties, a mix of one- and two-bedroom flats and two-bedroom duplexes, and buyers can start by purchasing just 35% and paying a subsidised rent on the balance.
One-bedroom properties start at £112,000, based on a full market value of £320,000, while two-bedroom units start at £163,625, based on a full market value of £467,500. The energy-efficient homes have a great specification, with some properties also boasting private balconies and a parking space. Canning Town is well located for access to The City and Docklands and is undergoing major local regeneration too, resulting in a new selection of shops and amenities.
Tim Seward, director of sales and marketing for Latimer said: “East City Point is perfect for young professionals who work in Canary Wharf or other nearby business districts, and yearn to get on to the housing ladder. Although Canning Town is still affordable compared to the likes of Hoxton and Shoreditch, the recent regeneration suggests that buying a home in the area also represents a wise investment opportunity.”
