New phase of apartments launches at Basildon scheme

Posted 1 July 2016 by Keith Osborne

House-hunters in Essex will now find more new apartments for sale at a popular Basildon development, with Help to Buy available...

Developer NU Living is launching a second phase of one- and two-bedroom apartments at its Beechwood scheme in the popular Essex commuter town of Basildon tomorrow (2 July).

Nearly two-thirds of the first phase, launched in March, has already been sold, so interest in the new release of nine more homes is expected to be high. The development’s appeal to first-time buyers is underlined by its starting price of £169,995 and £199,995 respectively for the one- and two-bedroom units, and the availability of the government-backed Help to Buy scheme.

Buyers can expect to find designer kitchens with a range of integrated appliances, white sanitaryware bathrooms and en suites with full-height tiling, built-in wardrobes to the master bedroom and a range of laminate, ceramic and carpet flooring, all as standard.

These new homes are just part of a significant investment in regenerating the town, bringing 2,000 new homes to it in addition to a major revamp of its retail centre, academic facilities and leisure amenities over a 20-year period.

The development also offers proximity to the town centre amenities and easy access to Basildon’s station, which it just over half-an-hour from Fenchurch Street. In addition to its speedy rail link to the capital, Basildon is also close to two arterial roads to London and the M25 (the A13 and A127) and 20 minutes’ drive from the growing London Southend Airport.
