Just one home now for sale reflects Lovell’s Bath development award win success

Posted 29 April 2016 by Keith Osborne

A Lovell development which won an award from readers of First Time Buyer magazine now only has one property remaining to sale...

As developer Lovell Homes celebrates national success at the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards 2016 for its Somerset development, Lavender Grove, the company announces that just the show house remains for sale there.

While the prize – voted for by the buying public – for Best First Time Buyer Family Home was given to the development’s ‘Hazelwood’ three-bedroom house, strong sales at Lavender Grove have led to all but one property being sold and only the four-bedroom show home, the link-detached ‘Chestnut’, still for sale.

With a stone-finished frontage and single garage, this home is now on sale at £465,000 and comes with furniture, carpets, curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, light fittings and fully landscaped rear garden all included – truly ready to move into. Using the Help to Buy scheme, the purchaser can clinch this well-appointed house for £372,000 up-front.

The First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards were announced in a ceremony hosted by TV presenter Nicki Chapman at London’s Waldorf Hilton hotel last week. WhatHouse? itself won a ‘highly commended’ award that afternoon for its monthly property newspapers.

Lynda Clark, editor of First Time Buyer Magazine, says of Lovell’s win: “The judges were all very impressed with Lavender Grove and see it as the ideal home for a family. As well as offering a very high-quality specification, the property offers a great layout – perfect for busy family life and was also finished very tastefully. Offering exceptional value, this property is also situated in a very sought after location and is well positioned for outstanding schools, community and access to the countryside. Well done to Lovell Homes for bringing this lovely family home to the market.”

The Lovell team were at the event in force and were delighted with their win. Says regional sales manager Julie Bowen: “We’re incredibly proud that the development has enabled first-time buyers, so often unable to even consider a countryside home of this quality, to put down roots in this enviable location, and buy a property built to such stringent design and build standards. To be recognised by the First Time Buyers Readers’ Awards is amazing - especially as it’s the public who vote to choose the winner.

“It’s a home which has made it possible for first-time purchasers to secure an exceptional property in an idyllic village that has the added bonus of easy access to both Bristol and Bath.”

Lavender Grove is around five-and-a-half miles from Oldfield and Keynsham railway stations and within 13 miles of the M5 and Bristol Airport. Bath is only nine miles away while Bristol is a 12-mile drive. You can visit the development from 11.00am to 5.00pm on Monday and from 10.00am to 5.00pm Thursday to Sunday.
