Housebuilders join forces to develop new homes in Berkshire

Housebuilder Banner Homes has teamed up with Wates to develop a wide selection of new homes in the Berkshire market town of Hungerford.

The new partnership will build up to 300 new homes, in accordance with the Council's Core Strategy and Local Plan, on land off Salisbury Road.

John Kennedy, Managing Director for Banner Homes Southern, said: "We are very pleased to be working with Wates on such an important site for us. The private nature of both our businesses sits well together, as does our drive and determination to produce sites in high quality locations such as this part of West Berkshire.

"We will be working closely together in the promotion and allocation of the site and our respective planning teams are now in the process of putting together a planning application for the future development of the site."

Banner Homes is hoping to actively trying to build on last year's success. The company exchanged on land acquisitions providing a Gross Development Value of £150 million across the Group from 34 new development sites.

These results continue to reflect the business' attention to developing new homes at the middle and top end of the market.
