Keith OsborneMulti-award-winning developer Inspired Homes is inviting house-hunters in and around south London to an event this Saturday 10 December where it is launching Help to Buy on its Coombe Cross development in Croydon.
Fresh from winning a Bronze for Best Regeneration Scheme at the WhatHouse? Awards 2016 for its Green Dragon House development close by, the Inspired Homes team will be welcoming guests to Coombe Cross between 10.00am and 3.00pm
Located at 2-4 South End in the thriving corner of the capital, Coombe Cross is a collection of 82 one- and two-bedroom apartments which combine great individual specification with high-quality communal facilities for residents. Inside each home are, for example, fitted kitchens with granite worktops and Bosch appliances, designer bathrooms, NEST thermostats and hyperoptic broadband, while neighbours share a wifi-ready residents' lounge and a 10th-floor sky garden.
There’s more than meets the eye to selected apartments, too, as they include Inspired Homes’ unique ‘Flexible Living’ design, which can convert a one-bedroom apartment into a two-bedroom unit using pull-down beds and sliding Smart Glass partition walls – a fantastic option when welcoming friends and family to stay.
Neil Taylor, sales director at Inspired Homes, says: “We are holding a launch event exclusively for owner-occupiers purchasing through Help to Buy, giving them an opportunity to get in ahead of the crowd.”
Help to Buy London is the latest version of the popular government-backed shared equity scheme. It is available only on new build homes via signed-up developers, with an upper limit of £600,000 on the property price. The scheme is open to first-timer buyers and home movers (though only for owner-occupiers, not buy-to-let investors) and offers them an equity loan of 40% of the price, if they can provide a 5% deposit.
At Coombe Cross, prices start at £292,950, allowing buyers to purchase with a £14,648 deposit – affordable for someone on an annual salary of around £35,000.
Coombe Cross is scheduled for completion in summer 2017, but there is already a show apartment for visitors to take a look around to see the design, specification and build quality for themselves.
