Gunner buy a new home near the Emirates Stadium?

Posted 11 August 2016 by Keith Osborne

As the new Premier League season kicks off, how about a new home in proximity of one of England's most respected teams and finest stadiums..?

You don’t have to be a fan of Arsenal FC to buy a home at Canonbury Cross, but at just a mile from the club’s Emirates Stadium, it will certainly be a great way to connect with this new development, especially at the start of a new football season.

Notting Hill Sales has just launched a selection of townhouses, which are inspired by some of the traditional Victorian terraces in nearby Canonbury Square, one of the most scenic residential parts of fashionable N1. There are also a collection of apartments available.

The contemporary touches applied to the exterior of the four-storey homes are matched by an impressive interior specification, where thermostatic zone-controlled underfloor heating and touch-screen AV controls for the heating, lighting and music distribution head the home tech list. High-quality brand names are used throughout the properties at Canonbury Cross, including Alno kitchens, Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware, Miele appliances, Silestone worktops and Dekko wardrobes.

The homes have an open-plan kitchen/dining room on the lower ground floor, with access to a private courtyard via French doors. The upper ground floor has a separate living room, a study, a cloakroom and some practical storage space, while bedrooms and bathrooms are on the top two floors. In fact, the master bedroom suite takes up the whole of the top floor, with fitted wardrobes , private shower room and terrace befitting the location.

There is also a concierge service, suitable for fans or even players who might be tempted to join the squad of residents at this development, where prices start at £1.84m. Apartments start at £562,500 for a one-bedroom example.

Simon Neary, head of sales and marketing at Notting Hill Sales, says: “Due to its exclusivity and excellent proximity to Arsenal’s football stadium, the area is a popular enclave for many of the League’s stars past and present. With this in mind, finding a prestigious home within this location, which provides space style and comfort, is not as easy as some may think. Privacy and security become vital along with an unprecedented level of quality, and we are delighted that our homes at Canonbury Cross offer all that and more.”

The boutique development is just minutes away from Upper Street, home to numerous high-quality restaurants and bars as well as pubs, theatres and a cinema, from Highbury Corner in the north to Angel in the south.

Highbury & Islington station is a three-minute walk from home, offering access to National Rail, Overground and Victoria line underground services (24 hours a day at weekends on the latter soon!), with Northern Line from Angel and numerous bus services across the capital.
