#GBBO - Cabbell Street kitchen showcases smart home technology

Posted 27 October 2016 by Ben Salisbury

The kitchen at Dexter's new show home at Hyde Park Mansions has built-in mood lighting which could mirror the highs and lows of a contestant on #GBBO...

The brand new kitchen at a new show home at the top of Hyde Park Mansions in Cabbell Street, Marylebone, London, showcases the latest smart home technology, making it perfect for the recent trends showcased on The Great British Bake Off.

The kitchen has been designed by luxury property developer Grand Opulence and features handmade white glass worktops which have the capacity to change colour using in-built mood lighting.

The integrated appliances are part of Miele’s designer Pureline range and have been finished to special order in white gloss to match the worktops. The hob is extra wide and is safer than electric or gas hobs and the Miele white glass steam oven features automatic cooking features to ensure the perfect roast every time, enough to convince even the strictest #GBBO taskmaster like Mary Berry.

The kitchen also features three satin polished steel Blanco StreetArt sinks with taps conducting freshly filtered water which combines with Blum cabinet drawers and fittings to complete the extravagant open-plan kitchen.

The kitchen also includes a self-cleaning touchscreen combination microwave oven with automatic cooking functions plus popcorn mode, ultra-quiet washer/dryer and dishwasher from Miele and fridge, fridge-freezer and separate drinks fridge with wooden racks.

The stunning three-bedroom penthouse has been recently refurbished and designed to provide the ultimate in luxury London living, with three bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room.

The walls have been lined with crushed velvet, the doors are made from specially-commissioned pieces of Bird's Eye Maple and smart home technology means almost everything in the home can be controlled remotely from a smart phone or tablet. The main showpieces are the two home cinemas – one hidden in the ceiling of the master bedroom, the other a 200” screen projecting HD, 3D images.

Guide price: £2.65million
