#GBBO fans - 'Linley House' has the perfect ingredients for a luxury lifestyle
Posted 9 September 2015 by Keith Osborne
With the latest episode of the Great British Bake Off (#GBBO) focusing on ‘alternative ingredients’, Redrow’s 'Linley House' at Stretton Green is a particularly tasty show home sweetener.
Perfect for entertaining and taking on even the toughest of technical challenges, the high-specification kitchen features a central island and taupe cabinets. A butler’s pantry helps to ensure that plenty of ingredients are not only always accessible, but also stored away neatly.
As with the #GBBO tent, there are green views to gaze out on while baking, as the kitchen opens onto the dining area which boasts large French doors leading out onto the garden which, in turn, looks out over the stunning Cheshire countryside towards North Wales.
It is both a cook's and gadget-lover’s dream with a double range cooker, no less than three integrated fridges, plus a built-in coffee machine and pop-up electrical sockets. Even under the closest scrutiny the kitchen lives up to its quality billing; with oak-lined cutlery drawers and pull-out-and-twist spice racks. There is also an integrated wine cabinet, two dishwashers and a Rangemaster cooking range.
Wander out of the kitchen and the rest of the house is equally impressive. Other rooms include a downstairs study, an ideal spot for recipe research, five bedrooms and even a boot room.
The show home is just one of the bespoke four- and five-bedroom country homes at Stretton Green, in the heart of rural Cheshire, just 10 miles from the walled city of Chester. Prices start from £749,995.
