Enfield is a lively borough which offers an eclectic blend of urban and rural living. Local park life is renowned, varied and plentiful: Trent Park affords opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding whilst the award winning landscape of the nearby Forty Hall and Estate provide a cultural experience.

There is also a healthy community of park volunteers and friends who help maintain these wonderful local resources. If sport tickles your fancy then Enfield has plenty to offer. The appetite for cricket, basketball and golf is satisfied through local teams and access to excellent pitches and provision, such as the nearby Queen Elizabeth Stadium where athletics and football are housed.

Enfield embraces healthy, family lifestyles and works in conjunction with Fusion-Lifestyle to provide numerous leisure centres and facilities, offering swimming, gym, tennis and more, throughout the borough.

Enfield’s local high streets are supported by a successful We Love Enfield campaign which attracts locals and visitors to the hustle and bustle of independent family run shops and lively markets alongside larger retailers, such as those found in the Palace Gardens Shopping Centre.

Bowles Square is ideally placed for connections to both London, the home counties and further afield. By rail, Enfield has a number of train stations. Enfield Town Station offers regular, fast (33 minutes) connections to London Liverpool Street and is in Travelcard Zone 5. The London service is increased during peak hour travel and will be added to London’s Overground network in 2015.

Enfield Chase Station also offers a service to Kings Cross Station, London’s Moorgate (35 minutes), Finsbury Park in (19 minutes) and Old Street (30 minutes) whilst providing additional services to locations such as Stevenage and Hertford North. A further station, Enfield Lock, offers additional routes to Hackney, Tottenham Hale and Stratford (London).

Enfield is well served by a number of bus routes, including many London services. Furthermore, the night bus route N29 leaves Trafalgar Square for Enfield Town. Road connections from Enfield are also excellent: the A10 road to the east of the Bowles Square offers speedy connections to the M25.
