A historical town with plenty of attractive features, Sandbach is an ideal place to retire in. Its strong heritage means there are numerous buildings of interest in the area, the most notable being two Saxon crosses believed to originate from the 9th Century. Elizabethan properties can also be viewed in the town, giving the area plenty to keep history buffs entertained.
Those more interested in local culture will also find plenty of great attractions. There are varied and frequent markets in the town with a number of great festivals held throughout the year. These include the annual Transport through the Ages Festival and the National Town Crier's Competition.
Varied shopping facilities are also available with the vibrant town centre offering a range of independent and national retailers as well as a nearby Waitrose supermarket. Other facilities, such as eateries and healthcare amenities, can also be found nearby.
