Featuring a stylish range of 4 and 5 bedroom homes in a sought after location, this new phase of Charles Church @ Castle Mead will offer more beautifully-designed quality homes.

  • Choice of 4 and 5 bedroom homes
  • Numerous places of interest in the surrounding areas
  • Good selection of education for all ages
  • Convenient road links

Located to the east of the town with easy access to the A361 and A350 to Melksham and Bath, Trowbridge is the third largest settlement in the county after Swindon and Salisbury. Trowbridge Castle dates back to the 12th century and its influences can still be seen in the town today. Fore Street follows the path of the castle ditch and its name is given to Castle Street, the Castle Place Shopping Centre and now also to this popular development from Charles Church.

The Kennet and Avon canal which runs to the north of Trowbridge has played a large part in the development of the town as it allowed coal to be transported from the Somerset Coalfields. The town was also a major centre in the textile industry in south west England in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and the town's lengthy history is recorded in the museum which is actually located in the last woollen mill in Trowbridge - it closed its doors as a mill in 1982.

Today, Trowbridge is a bustling town with all the expected shops and facilities including The Shires Shopping Centre, Sainsbury's and Tesco supermarkets and a regular Farmers' Market in the town centre every month. There is a local sports centre in the town but for the more energetic, being situated on the western edge of Salisbury Plain, Trowbridge also makes a convenient base for exploring the many walks and trails in the region, including the site of the famous White Horse in Westbury.

Neighbouring towns and villages include Bradford on Avon, Westbury, Melksham, Devizes, Hilperton, Southwick and Semington and a number of popular attractions are within easy driving distance, including the National Trust village of Lacock and the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Trowbridge benefits from a railway station on the Wessex Main Line which will quickly take you elsewhere in the county and beyond should you want to travel further afield. With its excellent location, wealth of amenities and wide choice of houses styles you're sure to find your dream home at Charles Church @ Castle Mead.
