Woodlands is very close to Gatehouse Primary School in Secmaton Lane which caters for four to 11-year-olds. Dawlish has three further primary schools for the same age range within a mile and a half. Dawlish Community College caters for 11 to 16-year-olds and there are two independent schools providing secondary and sixth form education. Less than four miles away Teignmouth Community College takes students from 11 to 18 years.
Woodlands is in a lovely rural setting approximately one mile from Dawlish town centre. The town is served by the A379 trunk road which takes you north to junction 30 of the M5 and to Exminster, just eight miles and to Exeter, 13 miles. Head south and it takes you to Teignmouth and Torquay. The major A38, A380 and A30 routes offer direct access south to Cornwall and the rest of Devon. Dawlish railway station is less than a mile away and coaches run from Torquay, approximately 10 miles away. Exeter International Airport is a 15 mile drive.
