Norfolk new build is dream home for family

Posted 17 July 2017 by Helen Christie

A new build wasn’t on their radar when Edie Masarira and husband Tazi decided to move into a bigger house to accommodate their growing family…

After viewing Kier Living’s new development at The Mallards in Brundall, the couple purchased what has turned out to be their dream home, and moved in at the end of 2016.

Edie says: “Originally, we were looking for a house we could do up but after seeing this house we knew it was right for us and I am so relieved. We had two children when we decided to move, and now have three, so with a baby in tow this house is perfect.

“It has a lovely sized garden, a beautiful family room which leads from the kitchen, it is big enough to store the children’s toys and for them to play, and a separate living room, which I really wanted.”

Edie actually grew up in the neighbouring village of Strumpshaw, and has found that The Mallards offers an ideal location close to family and friends, minutes to the A47 to make the daily commute easier, and a short walk to the railway station.

She continues: “My five year old daughter has Down’s Syndrome so as she gets older we want to encourage her to be independent. Being close to the railway station, so she can travel to town and back on her own, is brilliant. We have a bus stop just outside the house and a footpath that goes from the back of our garden to the station. I am really chuffed to have found such a lovely home.”

Kier Living Eastern’s sales and marketing director, David Thomas, says: “We are thrilled our new residents are settled and happy in their new home."

“Our aim for The Mallards was to create a community where people of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from the open space and convenience of their surroundings while enjoying the spacious homes that meet their needs.”

A collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, The Mallards is in the Norfolk Broads village of Brundall. The development has homes which would suit all buyers, including downsizers, first-time buyers and growing families.

Prices at The Mallards start from £374,995
