Dream holiday home for Mark and Mandy

Posted 1 June 2017 by Helen Christie

Riverside views, authentic culture and positive community spirit made Baltic Wharf the perfect holiday home for Totnes lovers Mark and Mandy Vanstone.

Mark, 55, and Mandy, 53, purchased a two-bedroom apartment at the Bloor Homes development in Totnes.

The couple set their hearts on buying a holiday home in Devon as over the years it became their perfect destination to relax and build memories with friends and family.

Located on St Peter’s Quay, the development enjoys a picturesque hillside setting overlooking the River Dart and is just a short five-minute walk from the town centre.

Mandy, who works as a buyer, says: “We’ve holidayed in Devon since our children were babies and we have an annual tradition to visit with friends every February, so for us to purchase an additional home was always a dream.

“We love Totnes because of its individuality and positive vibe as well as friendly and welcoming people. Mark and I like to support the town by eating in the independently run restaurants, shopping in the wonderful shops and exploring the culture.

“We always used to say that maybe we will retire to Devon or will have a place to spend some quality time with our friends and family, now thanks to Bloor this dream is a reality."

The Vanstone’s reserved their ideal holiday apartment symbolically on Valentine’s Day after falling in love with the beautiful design of the property and quality build.

Mark and Mandy were planning to initially buy a one-bedroom apartment but after seeing the upgraded two-bedroom property, they decided it was the perfect place for their needs.

The couple also took advantage of Bloor’s House to Home scheme to ensure their move went as smoothly as possible.

Mandy adds: “The customer service we received was simply excellent, Bloor were brilliant in making things as easy as possible and a special mention must go to David who helped us move things forward quicker and kept us informed the whole time. We have had a superb experience and would highly recommend Bloor to our family and friends.”

There is now just the last one-bedroom apartment remaining for sale and three two-bedroom apartments at Baltic Wharf, priced from £249,950 to £364,950. The second phase of the development is currently underway, with four-bedroom homes from £574,950 available.
