Downsizer finds ideal home at new Chiswick development

Redrow's luxury development provided the perfect solution for downsizing says Mrs Hall, retiree...

Mrs Nobuko Hall, a 66-year-old retiree from Barnes, South West London, knew that downsizing to a modern property with on-site facilities was key to a more relaxing and enjoyable lifestyle. Fortunately for her, 500 Chiswick High Road, Redrow Homes’ luxury development in one of London’s most desirable locations, provided the perfect solution.

500 Chiswick High Road is Chiswick’s newest address and comprises an exclusive collection of 59 apartments, seven penthouses and five townhouses. Every apartment features private outside space, overlooking an attractive landscaped courtyard. A concierge service and secure underground parking also add to the desirability of the development. 500 Chiswick High Road is proving popular with a wide range of buyers and particularly young professionals, local buyers, and downsizers, keen to enjoy the Chiswick lifestyle.

Mrs Hall, who has lived in Barnes for 19 years, has purchased a two-bedroom, £1,100,000 apartment at the development and will move in later this year. She is downsizing from her family three-bedroom period townhouse in Barnes, and is looking forward to moving into her new home.

“I originally planned to buy in Barnes, but when a friend mentioned the new development on Chiswick High Road I immediately wanted to see it. It doesn’t make sense to live in a large family home anymore,” Mrs Hall continues: “Going up and down three flights of stairs just to keep the place clean is a lot of work. Now I’m retired, living in an apartment with everything on one floor will suit my lifestyle as it will be easier to maintain. Moving in will also be stress-free because everything like ovens, fridges and cupboards are already fitted and ready for use.”

500 Chiswick High RoadAnother factor that makes 500 Chiswick High Road ideal for buyers is its convenient location and lifestyle. Mrs Hall says: “I was really drawn to the development’s convenient location. Everything from the boutique shops, cafes and retailers, as well as excellent transport links such as Chiswick Park Underground Station are all on the doorstep.  Chiswick has such a lovely feel to it and it will be refreshing to live somewhere with so many green spaces such as nearby Chiswick Park.”

Mrs Hall also says she was attracted to 500 Chiswick High Road for its security, generous amounts of space and central location. The development has a concierge service for added security.

Mrs Hall says the second bedroom will allow her to keep many of the benefits of her larger home too: “Having a spare bedroom means I can still have family to stay. And as I’m downsizing, it will also be a handy place to store my belongings.”

Located in the heart of West London, 500 Chiswick High Road offers boutique, contemporary living for buyers at all stages and requirements. The development boasts excellent transport links to the fashionable neighbourhoods of Chelsea, Kensington and Knightsbridge, which are less than 30 minutes from nearby Chiswick Park underground station, a four minute walk from the development and Gunnersbury Station is just a six minute walk. Access to the heart of the West End is only 7.5 miles away by car.
