A pint of milk that turned into a new home

It’s not every day that a quick trip to the corner shop ends in a new house purchase, but that was the reality for Tony and June Dear from Henham.

The couple had literally just popped out for a pint of milk one weekend, when their quick trip ended with them purchasing a brand new five-bedroom detached home at CALA Homes’ The Pavilions development in Rickling Green, Essex.

The range of homes at the development on Green Road caught the eye of Tony and June, who own and run their own multi-million pound contact packaging firm.

Tony says: “We were already aware of the new development after June had passed the site a few times. When the signage went up displaying the range of homes on offer, it really caught her attention. We’d popped out to get a pint of milk one day when she suggested we drop in to see the choice of homes available.

“We liked the small bespoke feel of the development and it’s in an excellent location, especially as I have to commute into North London. Needless to say, that pint of milk turned into a new house purchase! We reserved our new five-bedroom home straight away because of the impressive high specification and attention to detail that was evident throughout.”
